The film "Slingshot Hiphop" by Jackie Reem Salloum will be shown in
Cultural Studies 201 at 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec 8. The Room is FENS
G032 and all are welcome.
The film is a documentary about Palestinian youth who use hiphop as a
means of protest.
Joining us for the discussion of the film and of the issue of Kurdish
children and youth in Turkey will be Haydar Darıcı, who completed his
M.A. Thesis on the subject (CULT MA 2009).
