We would like to announce that Professor Meltem Müftüler-Baç is appointed as the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences as of July 1st, 2020, taking the helm from Professor Özgür Kıbrıs who was successfully carrying out this duty since September 2017.
Professor Özgür Kıbrıs joined Sabancı University in 2001 and has contributed extensively to the success of our university by conducting valuable studies in the fields of Game Theory, Economic Design and Political Economy, by contributing to the education of many successful students in these fields, as well as by serving as the Economics program coordinator, and as Vice Dean, prior to 2017. Özgür Kıbrıs will continue to serve as a valued member of our Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. We deeply appreciate his devoted work and successful management so far.
Professor Müftüler-Baç joined Sabancı University in 2002 as a faculty member of Political Science and International Relations Programs. Her professional interests include Theory of International Relations, Turkey-European Union Relations and European Integration. She has already made a number of significant scientific contributions in these areas, and her work has been recognized with scientific awards.
